Welcome Mission Statement "Education for Everyone" Welcome to Homer Community School Online. Located in Dakota County Nebraska, HCS services all of the Homer area's educational needs. From kindergarten to graduation, you can depend on HCS for the very best education in Northeast Nebraska. We hope you enjoy your visit. We strive to maintain a site of current, up-to-date information, and if there is any content within that is out of date or incorrect, please let us know so that we may better serve your needs. School Goals K-12 students will improve achievement in reading comprehension. All K-12 teachers will align the language arts, math, science and social studies curriculum with the Nebraska Department of Educations Standard Belief Statements We believe our students are individuals and will develop our strengths, self-worth, respect for others, and become productive, responsible citizens and life-long learners with the support of family, school and community. We believe that all programs offered in our school should have worth and value in a safe learning environment that challenges students to expand and broaden their knowledge and experiences. We believe each student should be given tools, opportunities, information, and emotional support in order to maximize his/her social, emotional, academic, creative, and physical potential. We believe that the family, school, and community need to work together to ensure that students develop a code of moral and ethical principles. We believe that cooperation and open communication between student, family, community, and school is conductive to developing high standards that lead to quality education for students of all abilities and learning styles. |
